The Sorsogon Provincial Tourism Council, Inc. envisions our home province to be a haven for an integrated, ecologically nurturing, cultural and gender-sensitive tourism. We are committed to provide holistic and enriching experiences both to local and international tourists, which contributes to the sustained economic growth and development of Sorsogon's local communities. Part of our mission is to preserve the cultural heritage and indigenous practices of our people.

In line with our mission, we have started a fund-raising campaign for the establishment of The Sorsogon Provincial Museum and Heritage Center. To help us raise funds for the museum, we held the Mrs. Balik Sorsogon 2006 and Mrs. Balik Bicol Pageant last June 26, 2006, in time for Sorsogon City's month-long Pili Festival.

For those of you who were not able to join us: you may still be able to give support by buying a copy of the Wow Sorsogon! Magazine, and help build our museum by donating any amount you wish to give. Kindly inform us of your contribution by emailing our coordinator, Ms. Alice Lopez at coordinator@baliksorsogon.org. We will be acknowledging your help in the marker that we will put in the museum.

As fellow Sorsoganons, we encourage you to participate in this endeavor to preserve and treasure our home province's history. Join us in making sure that more and more people will savor and experience the richness of our home province with its friendly people, and numerous natural attractions, for generations to come!
